BrewRidgeTrail app for iPhone and iPad

The Brew Ridge Trail in Central Virginia offers beautiful scenery amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains and a chance to sample craft beers from more than six breweries as you tour the area. Celebrating these craft brews of central Virginia, Brew Ridge Trail App guides you through the craft breweries in Nelson County and Albemarle County. The authors share important details about the principal breweries in this area with photos, maps and helpful hints that will help visitors make the most of every mile.

No internet connection necessary. This app is self-contained. Use the table view to located each brewery on the trail. Tap the scrolling arrows to progress through the route in any direction.

The Detail view provides essential information about each brewery on the trail. As you travel in either direction, tap the up/down arrows at the top of the screen to locate the next brewery. Or click the Brew Ridge Trail button to return to the listing to browse through the entire catalog of breweries.

Scrollable maps of the entire route can be found on the home page of the iPad version but both iPad and iPhone apps show detailed maps of each specific location with arrows pointing the way. Directions are provided. Telephone and web site information is also provided along with a brief description of the unique qualities of each brewery.

The Extras tab allows access to application instructions, links to the Nelson County Tourism Office web site and, after connecting to the internet from your device, includes the opportunity for you to send valuable feedback to us with suggestions for what you’d like to see in future releases.

Best of all, connect to the internet then click on “Send Photos” to send us your favorite snapshots of brewery views. We’ll include selected submissions in the “Photo Gallery” with every new release of the app. We hope this will help build a community of parkway visitors who share their favorite moments on the Brew Ridge Trail.
